Frequently Asked Questions

*House Cleaning:

1.  Are you a maid service or an individual?

One of our clients paid us one of the best compliments ever.  When asked by a friend this question, she told them that we’re like both. You see, often individuals that clean do this on the side and don’t take it seriously, or they are just flat out not trustworthy and unreliable.  They don’t run it like a business.  On the other hand, maid services typically send different people to your house and go over the top with rules and contracts.  We take pride in being a little bit of both without the extremes.  We take our work very seriously and do run it like a business, because it is one.  However, we don’t bog people down with contracts and lists of rules, nor do we send different people into your home or large teams.  We are the best of both worlds!

2.  What do you clean?

Put simply, we clean the surfaces in your home.  We don’t open and clean inside appliances, cabinets, and the like, unless of course you want us to.  We go over this in more detail when we come to your home to view it personally and perform a professional walk-through.  Call or email and we’ll be happy to pay you a visit, tour your home, and go over our professional recommendations.

3.  Do you provide the supplies or do we?

A true professional is going to take pride in their services and test out the best products for what they do.  You don’t have your landscaper use your lawn equipment, they have commercial equipment.  You wouldn’t have a laundry service pick up your clothes and use your machines.  So expect more of your cleaners!  You shouldn’t have to inventory and keep track of cleaning products, nor should you have to purchase and maintain machines.  We have spent the past decade coming up with the best products and equipment for what we do, and we’re constantly testing new products as well, all on our dime and to better our services.  So no, you don’t have to supply a thing.  If you do have one product that you particularly love and want to supply in a special needs situation, we will consider that, but otherwise we know what works best for us and are happy to take that burden off of your hands.  After all, this is a service of convenience, not to make more work for you.

*Carpet Cleaning:

What makes us different than other carpet cleaners?

  • No high pressure sales tactics to get you to pay more for add-ons, a common practice where your bill suddenly doubles.
  • FREE hallways, closets, and stairs with a full house cleaning.  Other companies often charge each as a separate “area”, and you pay as much for that walk-in closet or hallway as you did for the living room attached to them.
  • We take our time.  We aren’t there to run in, make pretty lines in the carpet, and leave.  We are there to CLEAN.
  • We use three different methodologies of cleaning.  Encapsulation as a base, steam as needed, and extraction as needed.

What other services do you offer?

  • Dupont Teflon Stain Protectant – This is our only “upsell”, and we don’t pressure anyone into it.  However, if you’d like to reapply what is often an original part of your carpeting when it was new, that of some stain protection, we are happy to do so.
  • Upholstery Cleaning – Does your favorite chair show signs of it being your favorite chair?  We can help get it clean again.
  • Rugs –  Let us have a look at them while at your home, and we can likely clean those as well.

*Auto Detailing:

1.  What type of wax do you use?

We use a product containing both synthetic polymers and natural carnauba wax for great shine and protection.

2.  Do you clean the engine compartment?

No, we actually do not do so for a variety of reasons.  First, it is a great risk to do so, as water is not meant to get into the various sensors and such that are in most modern cars.  It can really cause a problem, and sending you away with a clean car and a check engine light coming on isn’t our goal.  Additionally, the environmental protections agencies frown upon rinsing the contaminants in those areas into the local storm drains and streams.  It really should be done only in situations where proper filtration and recycling of the rinse water can be performed, and since we’re mobile, we can’t provide that unless you happen to have such at your home or office.

3.  I want to sell my car, do you think that detailing it will help?

Yes, and no.  Yes, it will definitely help sell your car.  People want to picture themselves in the vehicle when considering a purchase.  They don’t want to buy your dirt and stains.  However, we also answer no because we’ve had so many people hire us to detail their car before putting it up for sale that then regret their decision to sell it.  They often want to keep it after we’re done with it.

4.  What do I need to provide when you come out?

All we need is a dirty vehicle and an electrical outlet.  That’s it.  We bring everyting else, including our own water.  Our method only involves the use of two gallons of water per vehicle at a maximum, and most of it never even hits the ground, so we don’t need drains and we leave no trace behind when we leave.  The only thing you’ll see is a shiny car!
